Pink Lillies
This weeks flowers; pink lillies! Just gotta show you some pictures from out living room and how it looks these days. I like to keep it clean and simple.
The candle sticks are from the local flea marked. I used some white spray to make them go from brass to white. Simple as that!

Homemade Knitted Blanket
A couple of months ago I bought some yarn from the norwegian store www.strikkenett.no and knitting needles from ebay. After getting a ton of inspration from instagram I wanted to make my own homemade knitted blanked! You can see the result down below.
The yarn is called "Drops Eskimo" and color is "lys blå/light blue". They had alot of beautiful colors to choose from.
I love the blanket, the only thing I have to say is that I wished I had made it bigger. It's probably 1x1 meter(3 ft x 3 ft). Maybe I'll make another one someday?!
Last weeks lillies
A couple of weeks ago I bought my very first lillies and I have to say, I think I've found my new favorite flower. I have always loved roses, but there's something more special with lillies. And the color of them, perfect for summer!

First Pictures From Our Apartment
These are the very first pictures from our apartment from when we first moved in, in october 2013. Let's just say we've made some changes along the way. The whole apartment is 55 square meter. One bedroom, bathroom, hallway, kitchen and living room.
The lamp over our dining area was something the previous owners let us have. It didn't last long. It wasn't really our style. The dining area it self, the chairs and the table was something we got for free from a friend from school. It's an old set from IKEA.
The couch was something V got from his sister when he first moved out. The table in front of the couch is from IKEA, along with the TV bench.
Even though alot of the stuff we had was old and used, I think we managed to make it look good.
Our Very First Apartment
After being together for three months, we decided to move in together. We both lived in the same building, and I had a room that was 11 square meters. and V had a room that was 16 square meters. It was comfy and cozy visiting each other, but we made it a habbit to live in Vs room, and let's face it. 16 square meters is alittle small for two people. In the same buildning they offered bigger apartment for couples, and we decided it was time. We moved into a 34 square meter apartment February 18th 2013, and it was so nice to have some more room!
Let's talk decoration and interior. I had some. He had some. We got some from friends. We got some from family. We made the best out of the situation and to be honest, I loved it! I loved having a home. OUR home.
Alot of the stuff you can see here, I don't have today. I got sick of it, and either gave it away to friends and family, or gave it to the local flea market to sell. It's fun to look at the pictures though, and be reminded of what we started with.
This is where it all begun. This was our very first apartment together.
Our little dining area. We got this table and the chairs from a friend who was moving out of the building.
The kitchen area! Big enough for the two of us.
V has always been a computer geek. We had to set up his computer in the bedroom cause it was the only place we could fit it. Don't mind the mess.
Our comfy living room. We lived on the 1st floor, so we had to put something up in front of the window until we got curtains.
My Very First Apartment

The summer of '12 was the summer I moved out of my parents house and into my very own apartment. I moved into Åråsen Studenthus, which is the closest thing you'll find to a dorm in Norway. I shared a kitchen and a bathroom with another girl.
My room was 11 square meters, and I was in heaven! I finally had my own place.
Decorating your very first "home" was alot of fun. I tried alot of different styles all at once, as you can see by the pictures. Romantic, black & bold, animalistic. You name it!
It takes alot of time figuring out what you like and what represents you. Looking bach at these pictures I'm thinking "what, did I really like that?", but that's just part of the journey. It takes time. Alot of time to figure out what you like. I think a home is supposed to represent the people who are living there, and what's important in their lives.
Tonjes home
Welcome to our home! We
are a couple in our 20s living in a 55 sqauare meter apartment on the outside
of Oslo, Norway, Europe. I am a big fan of interior and home decor, and
that's the main reason I started this blog. To share my pictures of our home.
My style has changed a lot since I moved out of my
parents house. I went from romantic with roses, laces and pink, to darker
details such as black and gray. These days I'm a big fan of lighter colors such
as white and a hint of gold. Elegance is something I strive to achieve in our
home. I think I've finally found my style. A white base with blue and pink
elements along with brass details to spice things up!
If you want to you can follow me on instagram, my
nickname is "tonjeshome". All the pictures I post I've taken myself
with my cameras nikon D40 and canon D3200.
August 2015 I'm starting college to get my
interior designer degree. Can't wait to see what's in store for me!
Can't wait to bring you on this journey with me! I'm sure I'll have plenty of pictures to show you! Thank you for reading.
