TBT sunset from October

I didn't really think about it until I uploaded these picures.. But I miss the view from our last apartment! These pictures were taken right outside the door. If I go outside now all I get is a couple of houses and alot of trees. Not the same view at all.

I love sunsets. I love how to colors change and it looks like the sky is on fire. Isn't it beautiful?

After a couple of minutes the orange color(above) changed into a more pinkish color(below). So beautiful!

Geminis on a beautiful mirror tray

Couldn't pass out on the opportunity to get these flowers for only 50 NOK/6 $ last Friday. The flower store "Mester Grønn" had a campaign for new members. I absolutely love the color, deep dark pink.

Wooden tray & roses

I honestly never thought of myself as someone who loves to use trays as a part of my decorations in our home. But I've realized that I might have been wrong, given that I have +/- 10 trays either in our storage or spread around our home. Sometimes I find it easier to decorate on a tray, simply because it's alot easier to put alot of small stuff on it to show it off.

I got this wooden tray while we were in Salt Lake City over christmas break. I got it to use as a prop for school, but I haven't had the chance yet. It broke in my suitcase on our way back home, so I had to glue the sides back on and there's a piece that's missing. I might get a chance to use it for school during next semester, but for now I wanna use it as a decorating tray! It's so cute.

This golden vase is from H&M Home!

The voluspa candle smells soooo good ;)

Bedroom Tour

After our move in late February(can you believe we've been living here six weeks already?!), I've had a hard time decorating our bedroom. In our last apartment we had a big bedroom. I thought it was the perfect size, V thought it was too big. The problem with the room was that there wasn't much space to put dressers and closets. We had three(!) doors leading into the doors, which automatically means alot of wall space is gone. But anyhow, we managed to get our big bed, two night stands, two dressers and a two door wardrobe stuffed in there, plus three doors and a window. Don't forget our the 42" TV! Pretty great, huh?

The main reason we wanted to move was so we could get our own office. In our old apartment we had our computer setups in the middle of the living room - not convenient. Or pretty. Our new apartment is two square meters smaller than our old apartment, which means our bedroom wouldn't be as big. I guess you kinda can say that our new bedroom + office = our old bedroom. Kinda

Before we moved in I hontestly thought we would for sure get both our night stands into the room, but no. Not a chance. I don't really like our bed pushed into the wall, but it's the only way this bedroom works. We had to choose between a dresser or a nightstand, and that made it rather easy. We need storage for our clothes! We had to put the other dresser into our Bathroom.

Without further ado; here's some pictures from our new bedroom!

The door leading into our bedroom. To the right is the entrance and our office.

Our night stand table, and my own pictures hanging above the bed. Some cute candles and a table lamp is all you need for a perfect night stand! I'm on the look out for a new lamp base, but haven't fund the right one just yet. And yes, I need this alarm during the night so I don't have to turn on my phone to check what time it is...

I made these pillows while we were in Utah during Christmas. I think they go really well with my pictures.

Our dresser! a 5 drawer dresser from Jysk.

I love, love, love this old mirror that we got from a friend!

Close up of my brass candle sticks. How cute is this cup? It's a couple years old from H&M. After the candle that was originally in it burned down, I just replaced it with a tea light.

That cute elephant is for money savings, and goes really well with our flower pot.

Yellow for Easter

Easter is over for now, but I just wanted to show you how we mixed yellow into our home this year. I find yellow to be a difficult color to blend into our interior, so mixing it up with yellow flowers is definitely the way to go! I got these yellow tulips from V on my birthday. The yellow flaming katy(ildtopp in Norwegian) were given to us from Vs grand mother as a birthday present.

Spring tulips

Got these beautiful tulips from Vs brother and wife as a thank you for baby sitting their youngest. Tulips are the perfect spring flower; they're bright, they're colorful, they continue to grow even after you cut them and they look so beautiful!

Changes are good, right?

It`s been a long two weeks. We moved a week ago, and all the packing and then unpacking takes its toll. We had lived in our old apartment for 2,5 years and we had alot of good and cherished memories there. Even though we agreed we wanted an apartment with two bedrooms, it was still hard having to move. Our new apartment is 20 kilometers from the old one, and more on the countryside of Lillestrøm.

I`m sure it`ll take a couple of weeks and then this new apartment will feel like home too. It`s been bitter sweet, but I know it`ll all be worth it in the end. We finally have an office! And we don`t hear the sounds of cars driving onthe highway anymore! And the forest is literally right outside our door. Can`t wait for warmer weather and spring to arrive. So over the snow, the cold weather and tons of layers of clothes. Give me some sun!
