Happy August 1st! I have bene working alot this summer, but I always make time for decorating and changing things around in our home. Your home should reflect those who live there, and be a place where you can relax and reload your batteries. And also have tons of fun with friends and family ;)

New in: marble table
I've been looking at this table for a couple of months now, but I never wanted to spend money on it. If you're a student yourself, you totally understand what I mean. It doesn't always feel right to buy decor and interior items when you could rather spend the money on food, books or anything else school related. Last month I finally convinced myself that I definitely needed the table, and the rest is history. Doesn't it look so good though? Yep, that's what I thought. I love it! The table is from Søstrene Grene for those of you who are interested.

Tray obsession continues
I am obsessed with trays. I have all sizes and shapes. I think they are a fun little way to show of some of your favorite decor items! In the pictures below I mixed a succulent, blush carnations (in my favorite vase that I got from V on my birthday last year), a blue jar and some gold details. My absolute favorite color combination! Simple, easy and beautiful!

Sunset from last September
Found some pictures from a sunset in September in my archieve. These are from our last apartment, but they're too beautiful not to post. The color changed from orange to pink while I was taking these and it turned out so gorgeous.

Art piece progress
I bought this art canvas over a year ago cause I wanted to try to paint my own art to hang above the couch in our old apartment. I wasn't really happy with the first painting I did so I added some gold to it. Back then it was ok, but earlier this year I redid the whole thing into a blue ang green thing. Not really sure what to call it. My 6 year old niece told me it looked like an island seen from above with a shark in the water. I guess that's one way to look at it.
Then we had to move and I just put it all away for a couple of months. Last week I finally found time to sit back down and redo the whole thing once again. And for the first time I am actually 100 % happy with the outcome.
I wanted to show you the four different paintings with pictures just so you could see what I am talking about. I am absolutely no artist but I have fun doing these kind of things. I feel more at peace and happy with myself.
The very first! Just blue doodles..

After we moved we had to hang it next to our dining table and chairs. Can you
spot the whale my niece was talking about?
